As with most new businesses a designer must sometimes “put the cart before the horse.” Such was the case with Simplified & Savvy. There is no business yet, but the company owners must have documents for banks and prospective investors that communicate what the business can become in the future. This original logo looks like it is going to make it through all of the “new ideas,” “changes,” and “brainstorming sessions” and still have the look and feel that the client wants to project.
In my initial designs I knew I wanted to have a “letter-press look” for the logo but there was no time to print the logo, then photograph it then get it on all the collateral pieces—So I created the same “letter press look” in Adobe Illustrator—the added benefit here, is that now with a vector logo we can scale the art to any size, no matter how large, and still maintain its sharpness and integrity.
